A competition entry for a support centre serving Seoul's digital finance sector, on a tight corner site in Yeouido.
The scheme separates the building into two clear parts. The lower three floors are public: an open lobby, exhibition space and seminar rooms that can be used independently of the offices above. The tower above holds flexible, column-light floor plates.
Facade
A vertical fin system runs the full height. It controls solar gain on the east and west elevations, hides the floor-slab edges, and gives the tower a single continuous reading despite its mixed programme.
Ground
The corner is cut back at street level to create a covered plaza — a scarce commodity in Yeouido, and the part of the proposal we would most want to see built.
